LOCAL MATTERS

Local Matters provides your organization with the opportunity to produce a 15-minute taped studio talk show. This program offers your organization a vehicle to communicate your activities, events and services to the Tucson community. Local Matters can be seen on Access Tucson channel 99 on Cox and 74 on Comcast. After your program has been cablecast, your organization will own the copyright and may use the program in other ways such as client education, board development, or public awareness.

Our experienced production staff, host and volunteers are eager to assist you in coordinating this service and all the technical aspects of your production. You will have complete control over the program content and questions asked. We will also provide you with a packet to assist you with preparing for your show.

Frequently asked questions about appearing on Local Matters

Location and Time:

• We are located at 124 East Broadway at the corner of Sixth Avenue & Broadway.
• You will have a pre-production meeting and then begin the taping session.
• Plan to be at Access Tucson for about an hour and a half total. Your promptness is very important.

What to wear and what not to wear:

The TV camera loves earth tones such as tans, browns, oranges and cool colors like blues and greens. Please stay away from white, herringbone and tiny stripes, they can create problems for the camera.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in the Access Tucson parking lot on the west side of the Access Tucson building.

When you arrive:

Sign in at the front desk and a Member Services Representative will direct you to the Green Room.

Pre-production meeting:

In the Green Room, you will meet with the host and / or the program coordinator to go over all aspects of your program taping and discuss the details of appearing on Local Matters.
